We are so happy to finally let you know that Hamadryad will be opening for the legendary band Three Friends (Gentle Giant) on their upcoming tour of the province of Québec. 

Five dates are scheduled for those five cities:

L'Assomption

Rimouski

Québec city

Montréal

Hamadryad is going back to France!

Only a few days and we will be going back to Europe where we will be performing 7 shows in 14 days. 

Among other shows, we will have the honour of  closing the great Crescendo festival in Saint-Palais-sur-mer.

I don't need to tell you that we are very exited about these shows where we will introduce, to our European fans, the new line-up and the new album.

We are also very glad to have the opportunity to meet up some of the friends we made last time over.  We also hope to make some new friends since we will be going to cities where we have never been before.

We know that great people, great music lovers, great food and great wine await us and it makes it even more special.

We will try our best to give you a report upon our return.

Hamadryad and Mystery (featuring Benoît David, who sings presently with the group Yes) will launch their new albums with a double show at the Olympia of Montreal, Saturday May 22nd, 2010.

The members of Mystery and Hamadryad will welcome people, who will later attend the show, for the launch of both their albums at 5:30 pm.  The launch will be followed by a show by both bands.

Tickets will be on sale at the box office of l’Olympia and through rhe Admission network on Saturday, February 27th, 2010 at the price of 39$ to 49$.

Well as some of you have figured out, the autumn is over and the album is still not out.  But don't worry, it will be out VERY soon.

We are proud to reveal the name and artwork of  our upcoming studio album "INTRUSION", that is scheduled to be released this autumn under the Unicorn Digital label. 

The album's graphic concept is based around a painting by Evelyne Charette, the CD design was done by Michael Cloutier and Denis Jalbert.

Good news to our fan's and friends across the Atlantic.  Hamadryad is now confirmed to co-headline the 2010 edition of the Crescendo Festival in France.

Our drummer and younger brother of Denis, Yves Jalbert, who had been with us from the very beginning of Hamadryad back in 1998, has officially left the band.

The last few months kept us pretty busy.  here are the last events that concluded our promotion tour:

• We went back to play in Europe, for a second time.  This time we went to Switzerland and to Belgium.   Unfortunately on our second trip, Yves had to stay home to take care of his growing family but his place, behind the drums, was filled in by our friend Bernard Ouellete (of Kaos Moon fame, go check them out!) who did an incredible performance.  In Belgium, they gave us three encores that lasted for 50 minutes… (Yes, you read it correctly an additional 50 minutes). If it was up to the Belgium people, we would still be playing.

• We played in the second edition of the Festival des Musiques Progressives de Montreal ( www.fmpm.net )  where we shared the stage with many great bands, some we already knew, and some we met for the first time.

• We took part of the third edition of the Progtober Fest, in Ottawa.  The crowd might have been small in number but it was big in enthusiasm

It's been almost a week, and we are still under the rush of last weekend's events : The opening shows in Montreal and Quebec City for Deep Purple.  We have been given the chance to experience, what only a handfull of the many hard working and worthy band's, will experience in their career...

We are ecstatic!  We just learned that this Saturday, the 28th of July 2007 (8h00 pm), we will be the opening act for Deep Purple at the Bell Center in Montreal and again the following night, Sunday July 29th at the pavillon de la Jeunesse in Quebec city. 

We are proud to annouce the release of our first live CD effort, "Live In France 2006".   All songs on this recording were captured, last August, at the Crescendo Festival 2006 Edition, in St-Palais-Sur-Mer in France.
